OUR FOUNDERS

Brought to life by Michelin-starred Chef Franckelie Laloum and esteemed hospitality expert Michael Larkin, what began as a short-term residency at La Brasserie has seamlessly transformed into a permanent culinary destination, renowned for its sophisticated yet accessible interpretation of French dining.
Michael Larkin is a powerhouse in the food and beverage industry with over 20 years of experience in Europe and Asia. His career spans everything from opening Michelin-starred restaurants like Louise and Ando to co-founding award-winning concepts such as Quality Goods Club (Asia’s 56th Best Bar) and Artifact Bar.
LALA, his first solo restaurant venture, located in the heart of Hong Kong’s Soho, offers French dining that is as approachable as it is exceptional.
MICHAEL LARKIN

Chef Franckelie’s gastronomic journey has taken him through some of the world's most prestigious kitchens, including Azure 45 at The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo and the three-Michelin-starred Maison Pic, as well as TV appearances on CCTV's Peak Food Moment and Top Chef France. Most recently as the former Executive Chef of Louise, he guided the restaurant to achieve a Michelin star merely six months after its debut, successfully retaining this esteemed accolade for five consecutive years.
Having grown up on the bustling streets of Paris and the sun-soaked French Riviera as the son of a bistro owner, Chef Franckelie masterfully combines the flavours of his heritage with the expertise gained alongside celebrated chefs to produce refined yet unpretentious French dishes.
